ECHO Launches Social Enterprise

Brandon, FL – Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) is pleased to announce the launch of their new social enterprise: ECHO Handmade. ECHO Handmade is a forward thinking initiative that brings together two resources found at ECHO: an abundance of clothing donations and neighbors in need of work.

The goal of ECHO Handmade is twofold: give participants (artisans) opportunities to earn income, develop entrepreneurial gifts, and experience hands on job skills training along with creating an additional stream of revenue for ECHO. “Its a triple bottom line! We recycle unusable donations, put people to work and enjoy another stream of revenue, what could be better than that!!!” says Executive Director, Eleanor Saunders.

The one of kind ECHO Handmade products can be found locally at Orange Boutique located at 1046 E Bloomingdale Ave, Valrico, FL 33596 and Revolution Ice Cream located at 220 W Brandon Blvd #104, Brandon, FL 33511. You may also shop online at : ECHOHandmadeStore.

ECHO provides food and clothing for residents of Eastern Hillsborough County who have experienced a recent emergency.  Since its inception in 1987, ECHO has served more than 180,000 Brandon area residents. Along with immediate resources, ECHO also provides an array of educational classes and basic social services.
